A discussion of the key ingredients of being an expert witness, from engagement to presentation, including when participating in mediation and sitting in a ‘hot tub’.

Richard Johnstone of Left Bank Chambers will discuss professional obligations and practical issues with engagement, preparation of reports and opinion evidence briefs, conferral with other experts, and at mediation or judicial conferences.

Earthquakes Tribunal Chair Chris Boys will share some observations about the role of an expert and code of conduct obligations and how to effectively present evidence as an expert witness before a court or tribunal, whether individually or as part of a panel of experts.
